sarah mcclure CPM, LDM
Sarah was born and raised on a 36-acre farm in southern Michigan. Her mom remembers her saying intently during her pregnancy with Sarah’s younger sister that someday she would be “a mommy doctor.” Midwifery work blends Sarah’s passions for empowering and supporting women, the awe of science and nature, the privilege of meeting new life, and hands-on interaction with one of the most raw and powerful acts humans can witness.
Sarah is a graduate of Birthingway College with a degree in Midwifery Science. She is a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and a Licensed Direct-Entry Midwife (LDM) in the state of Oregon.
Sarah believes in birth as an opportunity for transformation and healing, and she is grounded in the midwifery model, which focuses on client-centered, holistic, and individualized care. Sarah is also an experienced herbalist and welcomes client interest in herbal and dietary approaches to treatment and management of complications that may arise during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Sarah speaks Spanish and is committed to increasing access to midwifery services for the families of the Pacific Northwest. When not working as a member of the Portland midwives team, she can be found hiking, dancing, or attempting the New York Times Sunday crossword.
Charli Zarosinski CPM, LDM
Charli was born and raised in rural Oregon. She grew up with an affinity for the outdoors, singing, and caring for living beings. Through a handful of different birth experiences in her early adult life, she learned that midwifery was her true calling.
Charli is a graduate of Birthingway College of Midwifery with a degree in Midwifery Science. She is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). She is also a Licensed Direct-Entry Midwife (LDM) in the state of Oregon and is a Licensed Midwife (LM) in the state of Washington.
Charli is well rounded in her birth work. She is deeply committed to her clients and also to supporting individualized and family-centered care. Charli is drawn to supporting and honoring people as they claim the power of their own birthing experience. She is fulfilled by providing care to birthing people and their families throughout the experiences and transformations of the childbearing year. Charli values the authenticity, compassion, and vulnerability that she is both witness to and expresses throughout her midwifery work.
Outside of midwifery, she enjoys hiking and playing in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, dancing, reading, and adventuring with her family.
